For many years, I've thought very highly of you, and I wish I had taken the time to tell you sooner. Thank you for the countless hours of entertainment you've brought to me and my children.

I completely understand your decision to step away. Please protect yourself from the entitlement and negativity some people display; you owe nothing to anyone. I'm not angry with you, and honestly, I'm not even angry with them. Reading your news, my only thought was: "Of course." This is exactly why people who genuinely need help often can't get it. A few bad actors ruin things for everyone else, and they're never satisfied anyway.

You're a good person. You've provided something invaluable to those of us who wouldn't have been able to experience the Sims otherwise, and I'm deeply grateful.

Ride off into the sunset. I hope your life is filled with things that make you smile every day.
