Let's meet our new friends.

Vicky Waller

Vicky spent her entire childhood in a coma. Her body never fully recovered from years of inactivity, but everyone immediately feels for her when they hear her story. She’s the social butterfly of the galaxy, with a fondness for plants, art, medicine, and of course, people. She may look 18, but thanks to cryogenic sleep during her time in space, she’s actually 652 years old.

This is her puppy and best friend, Lobo.

Jarad Hesseling (call him Jake, everyone else does)

When Jake was a child, his home planet crashed into a moon, destroying everything he knew and loved. He learned to fend for himself as he roamed from planet to planet, collecting knowledge, stories, and experience. Now 24, he’s a Jake of all trades, but his true passions lie in construction, research, cooking, and plants.

India Gibson

And then there’s Gibson. You couldn’t forget her if you tried, and she wouldn’t let you anyway.

Born into a sealed facility on one of the galaxy’s most corrupt urbworlds, she was the subject of unspeakable experiments by scientists in pursuit of the perfect super-soldier. After escaping, she lived with cave-dwellers who taught her to mine, build, cook, and craft. Those, and killing in the name of survival, are the only skills she cares to master.

She wears the body of a 25 year old, but she's survived 3,231 years.

When I first noticed this group of people and started watching them, Jake had his eye on Gibson. A beautiful, self-assured woman who didn't care for him. After numerous rejections, his gaze shifted to someone that was more receptive and open to returning that affection. Jake fell in love with the way Vicky tended the garden that nourished them all, and in return, Vicky fell for the strength with which he laid the group’s foundation. He built a fence to protect her garden, and flower pots so she could grow beautiful things inside too, but it was the tenderness behind his strength that made her heart bloom for him.
