Episode 2 - A Grimace in the Darkness

Remember the new person that joined them last episode? We've been getting to know her.

Fauna 'Furr' Wells

Furr only remembers being raised as an orphan on a quiet urbworld before she joined a traveling circus. Her nimble form and sharp eye, made her a natural acrobat, but her volatile temper put that act to an early end. Soon after, Furr found her true calling on a mercenary ship, rising swiftly to the rank of captain through sheer discipline and confidence. Furr is a nudist that loves to socialize and crack skulls; she may look 37, but she's actually 128 years old.

Oh hello, a strange pig man crashed near our friends again (that seems to happen an oddly frequent amount, doesn't it?). Barely clinging to life, he snarls at them and challenges them to a duel. Vicky ignores him and continues to gently patch him up. Perhaps the clarity will come when he's not in so much pain and fighting for survival.

He demands release and is now being kept prisoner. His prison is being built to be his future bedroom, and I know what you're thinking, but they built a nice floor in there for him before any other colonists got a floor. He could have crashed on Cannibal Island; he should be thankful!

Waltz agrees!

Anton 'Waltz' Walther

Despite his strong-looking stature, Waltz made it his goal in life to avoid manual labor, getting others to do all his heavy lifting, while he studied chemistry and quantum mechanics for fun. Waltz continued to research chemistry through to his later years, taking part in important developments and innovation of substances. A Pigskin very comfortable in his nudity with a strong passion for medicine and research. This is all encapsulated in the body of a 56 year old, who has actually been gathering knowledge and experience for 148 years. 

Oh yay, that's wonderful!

Oh no, that's... terrible.

Vicky, clearly depressed, puts all her effort into building up their small community. The others believe she has earned the role of Elder. The Elder is responsible for being a moral and spiritual leader, the head of rituals, and the one that personally counsels believers in times of turmoil.

An important member of Empire of the Spirit has now crashed as well (seriously? What's going on above us in space?!). Vicky rushes to Augustina's aid, saves her, and impresses the Empire.

Happy to receive their member back, Empire of the Spirit, whoever they are, offer Vicky an entry level position into their ranks of psycasters. The ceremony takes place "in the best looking room they have" and Vicky is told she need only meditate near a piece of art in order to hone her new abilities.

Perhaps remembering the woman he fell in love with, Jake decides to attempt reconciliation.

AND THEY ARE BACK TOGETHER! YAYYY!

A Grimace appears in the darkness and has asked to join them. Ambivalent of what secrets the dark could be holding, they accept, and allow her to join.

...And what's this? A test?
