Writing Excuses - 2

Homework: Generate 5 story ideas from 5 different sources (a conversation, research you've done, an observation, media, and a piece of music)

1. I think writing a story with a character like Trump (tries to do good, but everyone misunderstands him and hates him) would be rather fun. He always finds himself unwillingly in positions of power and his choices influence many unfortunate lives around him.

2. This would be based on research I've done on dreams and various sleep issues. There's a woman who discovers she has the ability to pull her thoughts directly into reality with ease. She begins to have trouble distinguishing reality from her dreams.

3. I'm only observing snow at the moment. Piles and piles of snow. Maybe the snow turns sentient. Not like Frosty the Snowman sentient though. The water molecules, when frozen into ice crystals, form a hive mind.

4. I'm watching a scary show called From and I really enjoy the premise. I'd want to do something similar, but without the scary monsters that come out at night to kill everyone. I like the idea of a town trapping people from all over the world.  Why are they there? Is the town trying to communicate about something? How do they learn to work together to solve the mystery so they can finally leave?

5. Happy birthday music - a man is experiencing his rebirth after a painful death and he's also receiving all his memories of past lives flooding back to him. There's an entity that feels his pain and stops to help him. It stays with him up until the moment of reincarnation in a new body and leaves a mark on him to ease his next journey.
